Dear ragtag collection of friends:
Lately there are only a few of you who I would still know had I not chosen Cara’s apartment off Craigslist.
And, you guys know, I might turn that into some testament to how great the Internet is, how it’s the only force in the world that matters and all that.
But it’s not, really, because strings of coincidences are they same as they ever were.
That few of you who I might be able to say I’d still know, I still wouldn’t, had I not hated public school and ended up at a boarding school and then gone to college in Ohio and then started working at B&H.
Now I don’t want to say that you are all simple mathematical coincidences and nothing more - but that’s how it works. Your life can change so quickly.
To anyone who gave me support up through now: here’s to every turn of life where more friends can be found.
EDIT: WHOA and thank you, two drunk strangers on the L train at 2:30am, who gave me a giant slice of Anna Maria pizza.
