There isn’t much else to say about the imminent tablet announcement.
“This will be the most important thing I’ve ever done.”-Steve Jobs, weakly cited, offering the gist of tomorrow’s event.

Word is that the project has been in the basement oven for as long, if not longer, than the iPhone. And, the corroborated understanding that the iPhone was an offshoot of the never-unveiled, notepad-sized “Safari Pad” makes this recently attributed quote ever more titillating. If the iPhone is the lesser triumph, just what in the hell is coming tomorrow?
What detail am I most excited for? The [virtual] keyboard. How do you type on this 10” piece of glass? How do you hold it? Do you even hold it up? Lonelysandwich has a writeup on this issue. If you can type on this tablet faster than is possible on the iPhone, it has a chance at really supplanting laptops.
Get your scorecard over at Unweary and play along.
