A few months ago Panasonic updated the LX3 firmware to include a curious 1:1 square format setting. The current versions of Photoshop and Lightroom will not read the square RAW files, but the Lightroom 3 Beta will import them begrudgingly (it makes the whole application act funny). Other experimenters suggest these square RAW files created by the LX3 are corrupt when created.
